Full of Turkey...

I love Thanksgiving!

Mom - you really have to get over the whole no turkey on Thanksgiving thing. You don't know what you're missing!

Aunt Kay put out one more gorgeous holiday dinner! That woman has the whole holiday food thing down to a science! Lee also contributed with a pumpkin soup that even the kid's liked. Kids never like Lee's gourmet creations. Everyone loved it! Great job, Honey!

The Wauer's came in from New Mexico. It was really great to see them. Clayton thinks his cousins hung the moon. He had a blast playing with the big kids. Ayden came over later in the afternoon and he had a good time being the big kid for a while. I will try to get Uncle Mike to send me some pictures so I can share them with all of you.

It was so hard leaving Clayton today. I had to come back to Texarkana and Lee has an appointment tomorrow, so he spent the night with Grandma along with the Wauer's. It gets harder and harder...My boy's have got to get here quick! I can't take missing one more day. I miss my boys!

I hope that everyone had a great day with Family and food, and unless you're a Broncos fan I know you didn't have a great day watching football. (Stinkin' Cowboys!)

I love you all!

Happy Thanksgiving

Well, I think that we are almost ready to commit to a place to live. I have a duplex to look at today that sounds very promising.
I am really liking it here, except for the fact that I don't get to see my family. My staff is great and the people of the town are really nice. It reminds me a lot of West Texas. I like that.
This year we will be spending Thanksgiving in Cleburne. This will be our first holiday without MeMe. It will be different, but I know we are all thankful that she has gone home to be with PawPaw.
I hope that all of you going to Midland for Thanksgiving have a great time. I will be thinking of you and will probably call so that I feel like I'm part of the action.

Is it Texas? Is it Arkansas? Is it BOTH?!?

The reason I do all that I do...I promise I post lot's of pics!

As I sit in my motel room in Texarkana, USA, I realize that I am a whole Texas away from my parents and grandparents and will be for a while. Some here in (The Republic of) Texas might consider that across the country!
I was recently promoted and transferred so I plan on being here for a while. That's the #1 reason that I decided to do the whole blog thing. I want to be the center of attention even though I'm hundreds of miles away. It's my position in the sibling hierarchy and I'll be darned if I let distance get in the way!
So far things are going great at my new restaurant and the town is really nice. There are some great historic homes and buildings, and we plan on buying a historic home so that Lee has lots to do! Of course I will post pictures when we find our dream house. If you don't want to wait that long, I will be posting pictures the house that we are able to afford and buy within the next month as soon as it's mine to photograph.
To all of my fans, oops, I mean family in West Texas I love you all and come visit us!!
